Uwimana Marie Florence

Founder & CEO

With over 25 years of global experience in hospitality, Florence studied languages and literature in Ravenna, Italy, where she immersed herself in the world of hospitality. Working in hotels and restaurants across Italy, she developed a passion for high-quality service and the art of creating unforgettable experiences. In 2010, she returned to Rwanda, driven by a desire to contribute to her country's remarkable development and empower its youth.

A Story of Growth

From a pioneering bed and breakfast to a thriving multi-faceted hospitality destination.

2010

Return to Rwanda

Florence returned to Rwanda after years in Italy, bringing global hospitality expertise and a vision to contribute to Rwanda's development.

2016

Tea House B&B Opens

Launched Tea House Bed and Breakfast, pioneering short-stay accommodations with exceptional quality and made-in-Rwanda furnishings.

2017

Growing Demand

Opened a second location to meet growing demand, proving the concept resonated with travelers.

2020

Boutique Hotel & Restaurant

During the COVID-19 pandemic, evolved into a Boutique Hotel and Restaurant, introducing walk-in dining to diversify offerings.

Today

Resto & Workspace

Expanded to Tea House Resto & Workspace in Kimihurura—a hub for digital nomads, corporate groups, and private gatherings.
